The Amazing Talents of Kevin Kelly!
Mark Savalle as Hopper
Yumminess.
“Let’s Face The Facts” has completed its analysis every episode (and all 3 TV movies) from “The Facts Of Life!” We are no longer producing new episodes.
My name is David Almeida, and I love the 1980s sitcom “The Facts Of Life.” From 2018 to 2023, I watched and analyzed every episode (and all 3 TV movies!) of this incredible series, joined by my friend/co-host Matthew Arter. All 229 episodes are available here and on all major podcast apps/platforms.
Still want more? From 2023 to 2024 we did 50 episodes of "TV Talkaholics," a Facts-Of-Life-adjacent podcast in which we re-watched and analyzed TV series, specials, and movies featuring cast members from the show. (More info at tvtalkaholics.com.)
Thank you to all of our devoted listeners over the years! And remember: The Facts Of Life Are All About YOU.

Supposed THIS is the episode from 5 weeks ago… ?!?!
Technically, this week’s show was a conversation with Matthew’s alter ego, diva extraordinaire, Carol Lee!
And just for no reason at all, I recently discovered this lovely pic of our dearly defuncted “Friends” at Walt Disney World’s Citizens of Hollywood: Film Critic and Man-About-Town Wink Wright, and Hollywood Police Officer Pat Friskem.
(I mean, he’s no Looney Lou…)
When Andy sits down to watch TV, we see for the first time a REVERSE SHOT of the WALL where normally the audience is located. VERY STRANGE! But the wallpaper does match, and there is a TV, and a … chair…? Well, OK I guess.
(a/k/a The Return Of Cinnamon… And The Departure Of George Clooney — snif!)
…briefly played by Andy & Beverly Ann in non-syndication-removed bit.

This was the hour-long holiday movie that was pre-empted TFOL the previous week on 12/20/86
(Another great homage to Mr. Goldberg is the Final Destination horror film series.)
Short-lived Saturday morning kids’ show starring Robbie “Cousin Oliver” Rist, Herb “Future Stan Zbornak” Edelman, and the frequently-referenced-on-this-podcast Joyce Bulifant!
Because face it: There’s nothing funnier than potty-mouthed puppets.

We hate to admit it, but we have seen and used this door before.

ANOTHER CREDIT I MISSED: (from KevinSpirtas.com) “For 7 1/2 years, Spirtas played the dashing and frolicking Dr. Craig Wesley on NBC’s: “Days of Our Lives”. In 1999 Soap Opera Digest nominated Spirtas for Best Villain and TV Guide (12/25/99) touted him for a Best Supporting Actor Emmy. Not only achieving critical acclaim for his acting but also became a huge fan favorite in the process. In February 2000, Spirtas had the delightful opportunity to play his “Days” role of ‘Dr. Craig Wesley’ opposite Matt Leblanc’s ‘Dr. Drake Ramoray’ on NBC’s, Friends.”

I’ve posted this before, but it bears revisiting… I am especially indebted to the beautiful soul who did all the research to find any traces of these men in any state of undress or nudity. (Another good site for this purpose: AZNude.) The only Sad: The nearly-seven-year-old article no longer has proper photo links anymore. :-(
P.S. Next week’s hunk Nick Corri (a/k/a Jsu Garcia) also made the list… we have a lot to say about him. Tune in next week!
S2 E09 “Gossip” … among others.

We just said goodbye to Charlotte Rae and Mrs. Garrett… so why not journey back to when it all started? The final episode of the first season of “Diff’rent Strokes” was the original backdoor pilot for the TFOL… so this January, David & Matthew are going to break it down COMPLETELY.
TVT is a separate monthly podcast where we discuss episodes, series, and movies which feature members of the “Facts Of Life” cast. It is exclusively available to Patreon supporters at the $3/month level. If you wish to become a member of the ‘fambily,’ visit www.patreon.com/facethefactspod.
“Every tear I’ve dried. Every button I’ve sewed. Every moment I’ve spent waiting, or talking. Or listening. Was so important. And I hope you girls felt loved ... very much. Because you always were. And you always will be.” 😭😭😭

They performed S3 E20 “Kids Can Be Cruel” … Listen to my original pod about the episode (with guest Paul Padilla) HERE.
Two things of interest: (1) I was wrong about Anne Bancroft playing the lead on stage. She did the TV movie adaptation in 1992; the role was originated on stage by Linda Lavin. (2) In that same TV adaptation, Jonathan Silverman plays Stanley, the older brother of Eugene. Jonathan actually played Eugene in the big-screen film version of Brighton Beach Memoirs, the first play in the “Eugene Trilogy." Mind fuck! Here is some press from when Joan Rivers took over the role on stage:
A different version by Bill McKinley, which is the one I originally fell in love with:
ABC will present its THIRD installment of “Live In Front Of A Studio Audience” on December 7, 2021. It will include a re-enactment of “Diff’rent Strokes” and… “THE FACTS OF LIFE!” The full TFOL cast was just announced this morning: Jennifer Aniston as Blair, Gabrielle Union as Tootie, Allison Tolman as Natalie, and Kathryn Hahn as Jo. Ann Dowd had been previously announced as Mrs. Garrett.
Listen and hear what we think!
