It was one the first marketing graphics I did back in October 2018. That seems so long ago! And Season 6 & Andy seemed SO FAR AWAY! Yet, here we are. Time flies.

To clarify, Charlie Chaplin wrote the tune for the film “Modern Times.” The lyric and the title, by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons, was added in 1954. This version, by Nat King Cole, was the first recording with these lyrics.

Taking A Chance On Love!

This song is considered a ‘standard.’ It is from the 1940 Broadway musical Cabin in the Sky. It was introduced by Ethel Waters playing the role of Petunia Jackson both on Broadway and later in the 1943 MGM film version. The song was composed by Vernon Duke with lyrics by John La Touche and Ted Fetter.

[ Extras ] The Gay Age Gap!

When I am “yelling” at Justin that “he should know these things” … this is what we are referencing. Still LMAO at this!

Synopsis!

Here is a David-worthy in-depth super-detailed synopsis of this episode at the blog Cousin Geri.

Cruising (1980)

The controversial drama by William Friedkin about a policeman (Al Pacino) who goes undercover as a gay dude to infiltrate the NYC gay leather bar scene to catch a serial killer who is targeting homosexual men.

Interior. Leather Bar. (2013)

Filmmakers James Franco and Travis Mathews re-imagine the lost 40 minutes from “Cruising” as a starting point to a broader exploration of sexual and creative freedom.

Joel Brooks on “Three’s Company!”

Does anybody know where “Three’s Company” is available to stream? (FOR FREE of course) I can’t find any episodes anywhere, but (as JW & I discuss on the show) Joel Brooks was featured as therapist ‘Dr. Prescott’ in two episodes:

S4 E05 “Jack The Ripper” (10/9/79) Jack goes to see Dr. Prescott to learn to be more assertive. He engages in bark-therapy, only to discover later in the episode that Mr. Furley is also a patient. The barking battle that ensues is comedy gold.

S4 E22 “The Root Of All Evil” (3/4/80) Chrissy wins money at the race track and the trio get into a fight over how to use the winnings. You guessed it, they end up making a trip to Dr. Prescott’s office to save the friendship that the money is tearing apart.
